OCTOBER 11^th, 2006, VANCOUVER, B.C. – ANDOVER VENTURES INC. (the “Company”) (AOX-TSX:V) wishes to welcome David J. Lajack to it’s board of directors. David has a B.Sc from Central Michigan University and has worked in lode mineral exploration since the early 1980’s. In 1985 he founded a successful prospecting syndicate (Lajack and Associates), which still has active properties in Alaska. Mr. Lajack is a founding member and President of Royal Pretoria Gold Ltd., a private exploration company, incorporated in Alaska in August 2000. Mr. Lajack has worked as a consultant in the industry and has co-authored published papers on geology and geochemistry.

The Company also announces the resignation of Frank Underhill as a director of the Company to pursue other opportunities. Frank has been a much valued member of the Board of Directors of the Company since inception and the board wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

Andover Ventures is also pleased to announce the appointment of Kristina Woolston as Community Relations Manager for the company. Kristina is an Alaska Native Shareholder with Bristol Bay Native Regional Corporation and Paug-Vik Village Corporation.

Recently, Kristina represented NovaGold Resources as the Communications Director for their world-class gold projects in Alaska and Western Canada. She has been involved with companies representing Shell Oil Company, ExxonMobil, and others, in Russian Far East oil and gas projects. Kristina has also interned for US Senator Ted Stevens in Washington, D.C. before accepting a position as the Assistant Director for the World Trade Center Alaska where she led numerous trade missions to Europe and Asia to allow for entrance into these markets for Alaskan businesses.

Woolston now provides community, media, stakeholder and public relations expertise to a variety of organizations and corporations.
